On the afternoon of Sunday 31st December 2017 we had a visit from the Gloucester & Bristol Youth Team. They are a team of ringers aged 18 and under who ring together regularly. They also enter the National Youth Striking Competition in the summer.
They all rang extremely well and enjoyed themselves. They are organised by Ian Bucknell from Bisley and he placed the bands and knows their capabilities. I heard Grandsire Cinques (with a few helpers) as I walked around the church, I watched Rounds & Call Changes on 12 with a band of 18 and unders, and was thrilled to ring with them in a plain course of Stedman Cinques.
Well done, Ian, for your hard work and well done all the young ringers and their helpers. I wish you every success in the future.
